What’s Your Word for 2023?

In the blink of an eye 2022 has flown by and we are about to welcome in a new year once again. I am looking forward to welcoming a season of pivots and progress in my business.

What is your word for 2023?

Mine is simplify.

I want to simplify everything in the new year.

My goals. A new year often means big lofty goals for people, and while goals are so important for progress, especially measurable goals, I want to keep mine simple.

  • Help more small-to-Medium Sized Businesses Source, Hire & Retain Top Talent

  • Coaching leaders to have more professional joy, success & impact

  • Travel globally to experience more cultures and people

  • Spend more quality time with friends and family

My thoughts. As an entrepreneur of 2 growing businesses, it can be easy to get wrapped up in a rabbit hole of ideas. I hope that by simplifying my goals and using techniques I’ve learned (and that I teach) to calm my thoughts, I am able to stay centered and laser-focused on the things that matter the most.

My task list. I’ll continue to allow my team to do what they’re good at so I can focus on what I’m good at. We’ll use tools like Asana, Trello, and Google Drive to keep us all working together towards our goals while working remotely from 2 different states.

What do you need in order to make the new year easier? If it feels good in your heart and soul, lean in. If it gives you anxiety, take the time to pause and delegate. Make it simple.

Where would you like to simplify? What tools and resources do you use to help make it happen?

I would also love to hear what your word is for 2023!

I am so proud of my husband and book writer, Bryan Johnson. This past weekend he was signing his book, Matters of the Soul, at Tattered Cover on Colfax.

Bryan is a part of The Colorado Authors program which is facilitated by Tattered Cover. The program is designed to showcase Colorado's best independent writers. That's right, my hubby is one of Colorado's BEST WRITERS! Thanks for supporting him and our local community.
