The leaves have turned colors. The air is brisker. You’re probably looking forward to winter break. So, why is now the right time to start thinking about summer 2020 jobs?

Recruiters at top companies are already planning to fill their internship openings.

Don’t miss out on any opportunities.


Easy steps to take, without even leaving campus.


Members can follow each other, write and reply to comments and receive blog notifications. Each member gets their own personal profile page that they can customize.


Stay up-to-date with the people and companies coming to campus and take full advantage of the services being offered.


Follow the campus career office on social media.

They host employers, have recruiting fairs, and offer workshops that could help brush up a resume or learn business etiquette. They’ll be hosting events year-round. Not just in April when the last-minute job hunters start thinking about what they might do that summer.


Join job search message boards and or mailing lists in your industry, as it may help to build a network of hiring managers. Find out if there are relevant industry associations in your area. For instance, if you’re majoring in Public Relations subscribe for news from the closest Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) chapter. Or an Electrical Engineering major might look into joining the local arm of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).


You should also set up job alerts on Google for any companies that may interest you. Setting up a Google alert for the organization helps you keep current on the latest news.
